Minutes of Mont Vernon Cemetery Trustees

Meeting was opened at 5:30 PM at the Mont Vernon town hall. Present were trustees Richard Quintal, chair/secretary, Alton Ryder and Karen Lindquist, bookkeeper. Agenda was presented by Quintal for discussion and consideration.

1. Status of FEMA reimbursement money for ice storm damage is unknown. Quintal has discussed with Bucky Grugnale who said it was applied to the general fund. This money was supposed to have come directly to the trustees as requested by Quintal to FEMA. Quintal to follow up with Alice Philbrick at selectmen’s office.

2. Ryder advises that minutes have not been posted for any 2009 meetings as the memory allotment is full. Only if material is removed from the cemetery web site can any data be added or removed. Ryder also advises that other necessary updating has not been done and that a new person should be sought. Ryder made suggestions for his replacement. Quintal to follow up. Ryder to delete all web minutes except 2008 and 2009 to date.

3. Unapproved (draft) trustee minutes for meetings held March 10, April 23, May 12 and June 10 (all 2009) were read. Ryder moved and Lindquist seconded to approve each meeting separately. All in favor. (Note: these unapproved minutes were all available within the statutory time but not posted on the web due to aforementioned technical problems).

4. Lindquist presented rules of other local cemeteries as the trustees are considering changes to same and will draft new rules for trustees’ consideration at a future meeting.

5. Rules current at time of an internment shall be printed on the reverse of the Right to Inter document and acknowledged by lot owner. Lindquist to include such language on future documents.

6. Lindquist advises cemetery computer has ongoing software problems and that some programs and features are difficult to access. It was agreed that computer should be made to operate easily and that the problems be fixed. Lindquist to take to computer shop for estimate. Quintal to check with Mead and Ryder to check with Rorabacher for any missing documentation.

7. Mike Riccitelli did site walk with Lindquist and Quintal re areas to be loamed and seeded. Riccitelli estimated a cost of about $3,000 for work. Ryder moved Lindquist seconded this amount for work. All in favor.
