Minutes of Mont Vernon Cemetery Trustees
Meeting was held at the town hall 22 April 2009 at 10:00 AM. Present were trustees Karen Lindquist and Richard Quintal.
Several agenda items were discussed re storm cleanup and bookkeeper functions. (Ax) indicates Action Item and trustee.
1. Quintal moved to spend up to $15,000 for storm cleanup and stump removal. Seconded by Lindquist. All in favor. This amount includes Grugnale; $1,200 (this work is completed), Broad Oak or alternate; $10,850, Steve Trombly; $2,200 estimated.
2. Steve Trombly (stump removal) will be doing work no sooner than Monday, April 27. Quintal to be at site during work (AQ).
3. Trustees considered volunteers for raking. Lindquist to make general inquires, Quintal to inquire if community service available from school or Boy Scouts (AQ).
4. Quintal to meet at cemetery this date (6-6:30 PM) with Dan Gibney (Tree Works - Amherst, 603-930-6314) for quote on hanger removal.
5. Check to Bucky Grugnale for $1,200 for removal of low hangers and cutting into manageable sections. This work was performed during off-time from town work. Quintal to contact Bob Mead to meet with Lindquist to turn over records and books (AQ).
6. DPW has been at site for 2-3 days chipping storm debris. Cemetery beginning to look presentable and appears with work done and that scheduled, cemetery to be well presentable by Memorial Day.
7. Lindquist to RSVP AG seminar for June 2 for three attendees. (AL)
8. Other bookkeeper housekeeping items discussed.
9. Cemetery walk was not performed.
10. Quintal to discuss with Bucky Grugnale FEMA reimbursement status. (AQ)
11. Date for next meeting not selected. Quintal will set date/time/place for regular meeting within 7-10 days.
